THE BRIEF
- To undertake significant community consultation to help inform the Edward River Shire Council’s 10-year Community Strategic Plan
- As part of the NSW Local Government Act 1993, requiring the newly elected Council to develop and adopt a new 10-year Community Strategic Plan
THE SOLUTION
- Undertake a comprehensive consultation program, called ‘Our Region, Your Say’ incorporating genuine conversations across the Edward River Council area
- Facilitation of community meetings
- Community engagement via drop-in sessions, surveys and presentations
THE OUTCOME
- More than 450 people were consulted across the region to help inform the 10-year Community Strategic Plan
