The Brief
- Discuss issues, concerns and opportunities with key stakeholders who have an interest in the future of showgrounds located on Crown land in NSW.
- Provide stakeholders with opportunity to ask questions as well as providing information and resources
- Build relationships and encourage mutual respect for diversity of Showground managers and users
- Understand the benefits Showgrounds provide to regional NSW and Communities
- Facilitate discussion around the theme of creating a sustainable and vibrant showground sector on Crown land in NSW.
The Solution
- Coordinate two group surveys
- Coordinate and facilitate Regional NSW focus groups in 4 regional centres
- Coordinate and facilitate roundtable for key stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver a report for Agricultural Societies Council of NSW
The Outcome
- The report delivered findings of the consultation with feedback from over 300 people included.
- This consultation confirmed that showgrounds are valuable and valued community assets for those that manage and use them.
- Positive feedback from stakeholders and client was achieved.
