The TGA’s role is to regulate therapeutic goods including medicines, medical devices, blood and blood products. It engaged Seftons to develop educational materials about the TGA’s role and its approach to the complex job of evaluating and regulating a range of therapeutic goods including complementary medicines, prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vaccines, blood and plasma.
We contributed to the preliminary market research, then used the results to identify where knowledge gaps existed and how to best communicate with the target audiences. The project required us to distill the TGA’s complex messages into material suitable for a range of audiences, without compromising on regulatory requirements. We developed seven multimedia presentations for the various audiences (including consumers, and health professionals) and advised the TGA on how to disseminate the materials and revise the multimedia presentations in the future.
