Seftons is currently working with MLA’s wholly owned subsidiary Integrity Systems Company on a campaign to engage with red meat value chain stakeholders about the importance of Australia’s integrity system. Working in partnership with agents, resellers, saleyard operators, feedlotters and transporters, the campaign is designed to encourage producer adoption of, and participation in, the red meat integrity system as a fundamental part of their business. Compliance with these systems is critical to maintaining the reputation of Australia’s red meat industry as a provider of clean, safe food and can quickly respond to a food safety and animal health incident. The campaign will initially be piloted in six selling centre regions around Australia before being rolled out nationally.
