Seftons was engaged by Costa Tomatoes to undertake a media relations campaign to raise awareness amongst local stakeholders of the new recruitment push and the company’s position during COVID-19. A media release was drafted and distributed to local media in the New England region. Seftons briefed Costa spokespeople on key message delivery and interview management for local regional and broader national media. The Seftons team also facilitated and managed media interviews across print, radio, television and online outlets and provide a media summary report outlining all coverage. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, including social distancing and health news saturation, the campaign resulted in strong media interest in the story with coverage appearing across local TV, radio, online and print outlets. Seftons was pleased to extend reach into state and national coverage which is demonstrative of our extensive agricultural media network. Overall, 23 media clips were secured which resulted in a combined audience reach of more than 6 million people.
