Inland Rail Interface Improvement Program

The Australian Government’s Inland Rail Interface Improvement Program (II Program) supports local communities, industry and government to identify and assess projects that could potentially increase and maximise the long-term benefit of Inland Rail’s connections to the national freight rail network – providing for more productive rail-based supply chains and improvements to capacity on key country rail lines along the Inland Rail corridor.

From early 2020 an experienced Seftons stakeholder engagement team has been part of an Ernst and Young Australia-led consortium of specialist advisors working across the first 20 projects. The projects are being reviewed and supported through pre-feasibility and feasibility studies possibly to strategic business case development.

Leveraging our specialist regional knowledge, the Seftons team is planning for and engaging with key stakeholders, industries, business, end users, investors and community groups to measure support for the projects and work towards maximising benefits and outcomes.
